Sustainable Energy Capabilities : EDF contract assigned
We are proud to announce that AOS has been awarded a role in the EDF SENTINEL project as part of a 39-member European consortium.
SENTINEL (Sustainable Energy Capabilities for Enhanced Military Camps and Operations) aims to transform how energy is delivered in military operations—reducing dependence on fossil fuels and enhancing energy resilience, autonomy, and efficiency across all climates and mission types.
The project will prototype 17 Key Energy Capabilities, including renewable systems, smart microgrids, digital twin-based platforms, and energy-efficient mobility, all tested in real-world military scenarios. SENTINEL will be a major step forward in the EU’s defence energy transformation, building on the legacy of the EDF INDY project and aligning civilian innovation with military needs.
We look forward to contributing to this ambitious effort and supporting a greener, smarter, and more secure energy future for Europe’s armed forces.
