The security lessons emerging from 2024 are unambiguous: there can be no digital sovereignty—particularly in AI—without energy sovereignty. Protecting critical infrastructure through intelligent digitalization, reducing excessive bureaucracy, and investing in an independent European supply chain are no longer policy options, but strategic necessities.
